A New version of Orpheus

Orpheus is a very wonderful musician and his love for music was very strong. He liked to play hip hop and his friends would always like his beats but to bad it wasn't on itunes. Orpheus came upon a abandoned old house and he seem to wonder so he played his music and out of that old ugly house came a beautiful girl that was attracted by his music and there it was love at first sight and Orpheus was dieing to know her name and she said Eurydice. They went back to his mansion where all his friends break danced and showed off their skills. She said it was the coolest house she has ever seen and Orpheus's servants got her some new clothes from Hollister and American Eagle. They could not be separated, then one day she went out to bye some groceries and she got kidnapped and never came back. Orpheus went all crazy looking for her and finally they called and said they would kill her if he didn't bring them two million dollars in four days. Orpheus went out all crazy to the bank to check how much money he had and he had one million and five hundred dollars and that is half of what he needed. He told his friends if he could borrow some money but all together they only had fifty thousand dollars. The time was out and he didn't have the money. They called and said if he had the money and he said no and Orpheus said give me two more days and they said ok but after that no more days. Two days pasted and he was one hundred thousand dollars away. They called again to check and he said no all of a sudden he heard a gun shot and Eurydice had died. After that he didi nto want to play any more hip hop and all he did was play these awful beats and the beats didn't make sense. Then one day they all gathered around him and shot him until he was very little pieces.

Julius ceasar

Caesar was a very important man as part of history in Rome. He would go out in the battlefield with his men and be the great leader and he was very strong and powerful especially with his very well trained and prepared men. He was a great ruler and he was loved and admired by people and voted him as the king or dictator he was very popular and to them he was a war hero. Then later on Caesar met a huge mob of sixty senators and they all stabbed Caesar to death because they were outraged of his power and popularity. Sadly Caesar was never liked by all people and some of the people were shocked and maybe jealous of him and his great power. From the start they could tell that Caesar was going to be a great person and something in life. He also did not follow orders or rules sometimes and he had to put things in risk if he did not obey people like the senators. The people were probably were devastated about the death of their great ruler Caesar.

My Favorite Greek Thinker

My favorite Greek thinker is Hippokrates. I like Hippokrates because he was a doctor and they use math and I like math and I wish to be a doctor or a vet. some day. His theory is also is interesting because it is true if you are sick some thing your body like your blood is not balanced you could get sick and you'll be sick until you're balanced again. Also what I like about him is that he created a Hippocratic oath and that means that he was really dedicated to saving lives, helping them recover, and to never ever hurt one of his patients. I think that his job to him was definitely not a joke to him and he loved and cared for his very important job.

Hector

I think that Hector made the right choice because he fought for his family and his country. He probably knew something was going to happen and before he went to fight he said many things to a individual family member and even to his wife. Hector maybe wanted to show that he was just the stronger, more powerful of all, and show that he is better than Achilles. Then sadly after the battle Hector sadly dies as his family watches. I would have probably done the same thing because there is one man who thinks that he is the best of all and everyone is beneath him. Then someone must come and take his challenge to defeat him.

"The Myth of Osiris"

I Seth am the son of Nut and Geb. I have three other sibling named Isis, Osiris, and Nephthys. Osiris and my sister Isis were king and queen of the Earth. They were very powerful and were the main gods. I was mostly nothing and didn't get any attention or had great job to do so i later began to feel something and that was jealousy. I grew jealous and jealous of my brother and they were starting to think suspiciously of me so I had to react and do something like the unthinkable and my plan was to get rid of my brother. One day I was as furious as a bull and had the guts to stick with my plan and KILL my own brother. Osiris went down to the underworld. Then I later became the king and ruler in place of my awful brother, I think I did a much greater job than he ever did. His son Horus came to me and challenged me to a battle, I accepted. I later got prepared so that when the day would come I would destroy him into pieces and keep my place as king. After the fight I was defeated and I lost my throne to the son of Osiris I thought to my self and said how could I lose to him he is weak. While Horus the son of Osiris stayed as king of the Earth his father Osiris also stayed as a king and he ruled the underworld.

The Floods of the Nile

The floods of the Nile gave the Egyptians many thing for farming like the dark rich soil that really helped them a lot with their farming production.With the Nile River many advantages like actually predicting when the floods were going to come unlike the Tigris and the Euphrates.Also with the little rain fall most of Egypt was dry and lifeless,but far more South of Egypt it caused the Nile River to flood. The Egyptians would probrably not have grown much in there lands if it weren't for the Nile River cause after the floods it coated the land with black soil and that is why they called it the Black Land.For the Egyptians they considered the Nile River a life -giving miracle and didn't think of it as a crazy,rapid,destroying thing of nature.The Nile River flooding is one of the best gifts of nature that the Egyptians have ever recieved.Without the floods,people could have never farmed in Egypt.

The Adventure of Gilgamesh and Enkidu

Gilgamesh and Enkidu are in the middle east.They start to get bored because there was nothing fun to do around.They want to go on an adventure so they agree to go and get cedar wood.They heard many stories about how there was a demon who lived there and that was Humbaba.So they go through 15 days of traveling through the desert.Gilgamesh and Enkidu are finally there and they barely tap the wood with their axis and hear a groan and that was humbaba.Humbaba said to leave immideatly leave his forest,but they agreed to stay and fight the demon.Finally they beat Humbaba and Humbaba gave up.They both cut Hmbabas head and took as much wood as they could carry so they went back to mesopotamia with Humbabas head with them.

I think that the message of this story is that nothing is impossible.Many of the stories people told were that the forest was coursed and that Humbaba would like kill you if you took his trees.Then Gilgamesh and Enkido decided to go in there even though they knew it was dangerous.So then after that they beat Humbaba and that showed that for everyone nothing is impossible whether it is a job,etc.Then later in the story they take what they accomplished and show that they were victorious.Then they are so happy and tell everyone that they beat Humbaba and everyone told stories and different tales of what they did.Everyone was so excited and proud of them then after they beat the demon.That is what I think the message from this reading was.

I do believe that Gigamesh is a hero bacause he saved the city from the evil demon Humbaba from hurting anyone.He was so brave to do this and he is like superman he saves the city from harm.Also Gilgamesh went with weapons and enough supply tostop the bad guy and then he actually saved people almost forever because he is a demon and he was the like owner of the forest.I think Gilagamesh will always be around because of the adventure he went through.They said that Humbaba was the evilest and he was very big and strong for any human to beat and it was forbiden to go in to his forest.Then usually people like a hero and that was how Gilgamesh was with his people and his city the saver.This is why I think Gilgamesh is a hero.
